Serving as the Chairman of the Packaged Drinking Water Association has been a rewarding and responsible journey. This role has allowed me to represent the interests of manufacturers while ensuring that quality, safety, and compliance remain our top priorities.
I have worked closely with members, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders to address operational challenges, promote ethical business practices, and strengthen awareness about food safety standards and environmental responsibility. Special focus was given to resolving member issues, guiding new entrepreneurs, and encouraging the adoption of best manufacturing and hygiene practices.
Leading the association has taught me that true leadership lies in unity and transparency. By fostering cooperation among members and maintaining open communication, we have been able to build a stronger, more credible association.
I take pride in contributing to an industry that plays a vital role in public health and remain committed to the sustainable growth and reputation of the packaged drinking water sector.

Being a business owner I have been associated with many associations, clubs and social organisations . I have also been associated with the Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) industry for the last 20 years. This industry has given me many achievements and invaluable life experiences. Yet, I firmly believe that the most precious gift of my life has been the opportunity to be a part of WBPDWMWA since 2013.
WBPDWMWA is not merely an association to me—it is my own family. During my tenure as Secretary over the past two years, I sincerely tried to give my 100% effort in serving the association and its members. I also extend my full and unconditional support to the present President, Secretary, and Treasurer, and to the entire Executive Committee .
My journey with WBPDWMWA does not end with any designation. I will always stand with this association, in every phase and every challenge. I strongly believe that together, with unity, honesty, and collective efforts, we can create history in the PDW industry.

I began this association with only a handful of committed members and a simple vision of unity and mutual growth. Looking back today, the remarkable expansion, recognition, and success of WBPDWMWA fills me with immense pride and satisfaction. The journey from a small beginning to a respected association has been truly inspiring, and this achievement belongs to each and every member who believed in the collective dream.
The progress we witness today has exceeded my expectations and clearly reflects the discipline, dedication, and sense of belonging shared by our members. WBPDWMWA has grown beyond being just an organization—it has evolved into a strong family bound by trust, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
I convey my sincere best wishes to the newly formed PST. I am confident that they will further strengthen the bond among members in such a way that no challenge or difference can ever detach us from one another. I have been associated with this organization since its very beginning, and over the years, I have come to realize that WBPDWMWA is not merely an association—it is truly my family. The bond, trust, and sense of belonging that unite us go far beyond formal responsibilities.
Since its inception, I have had the privilege of serving as an Executive Committee Member, and for the last four years (2022–2025), I was honoured to shoulder the responsibility of Treasurer of WBPDWMWA. I express my sincere gratitude to all the members for placing their trust in me and allowing me to serve the association in this important role.
During my tenure as Treasurer, there were times when I had to be strict, particularly in matters of financial discipline and expense control. I sincerely apologize if this approach caused any inconvenience to anyone. However, every such decision was taken solely in the best interest of the association. I take pride in the fact that, with collective cooperation and understanding, we were able to strengthen our financial foundation and build the association’s fund up to an impressive ₹70 lakhs.
As I hand over my responsibilities to the new Treasurer, Mr. Tarun Nandy, I do so with great confidence and optimism. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to him and assure him of my continued support and full cooperation at all times.
I also convey my warm best wishes to our newly appointed Secretary, Mr. Subhra Jyoti Sardar. I still clearly remember the year 2019, when I had the honour of recommending his inclusion as an Executive Committee Member. Today, it gives me immense satisfaction to see him take on this key responsibility, and I am confident that he will guide the association forward with fresh ideas, innovation, and dedicated leadership.
My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes also go to our newly appointed President, Mr. Sukamal Paul. He is not merely a respected name but a true milestone in the PDW industry. WBPDWMWA will always remember his invaluable contributions, and his fatherly guidance and constant cooperation have consistently ensured that even an ordinary member feels supported, valued, and empowered within the association.
